Amazon Wishlist: Beauty

The majority of my professional background has been in the beauty industry. From starting in my mother’s hair salon at age 14 (after having grown up being there for extended periods of time just hanging out) and earning a Cosmetology license and Journalism degree while working in the beauty departments at Macy’s and Dillard’s and more, to then working in a sales and marketing capacity for a Korean beauty distributor and start-up beauty brands, I’ve had my fair share of experience with all sorts of beauty products.

So, it’s no wonder I’m a little obsessed with trying new things! I’ve put together a list of my Amazon Beauty Wishlist. Some of the products I’ve already tried and can’t help but want them again, while others have me completely intrigued and I can’t wait to see if Santa thinks I was good enough this year to add them to my stocking! Check them out and see what you may like, or what you can gift to someone!

Cosy Life Foot Masks.jpg

These. Are. Fantastic. Have you ever used a foot peel mask? If not, these are the best ones I’ve used to date (and I’ve used a lot of different brands!). If you’ve never used a foot mask before, don’t let it scare you. After sliding on the serum-filled bags on each foot and waiting roughly 45 minutes (give or take), you’ll start to notice MAJOR peeling within 2-3 days. It’s INSANE. For several days you continue to scrub and peel the outer layer of dead skin off to reveal much smoother and healthier look feet and toes!

French Girl Nail and Cuticle Oil.jpg

As the cold weather months start to ramp up, my fingers and nails are starting to get drier and harder to maintain. I struggle with not having the time and inability to justify going to the nail salon on a regular basis, so any at-home treatment I can find is something I’m willing to try. I currently have this nail and cuticle oil from French Girl in transit to my house, and am super excited to try this to help soften and strengthen my nails!

Frownies Facial Patches.jpg

Okay… when I came across these I laughed. But after reading more about them - and the reviews - I’m intrigued. The Frownies facial patches work to reduce lines and wrinkles with unbleached kraft paper and vegetable adhesive (no chemicals). By using them for a minimum of three hours a day, it helps keep your skin in a natural position, preventing you from wrinkling your brows, thus preventing new and smoothing out existing wrinkles. One reviewer mentions this over Botox, and any prolonging I can do before I might need some chemical help with my looks is something I can get behind! Plus, Frownies have been women-owned for five generations and based right here in the U.S.!

LilyAna Naturals Vitamin C Serum.jpg

Vitamin C is one of the most widely used ingredients for skin discoloration. According to Oregon State University, Vitamin C is naturally occurring in your skin and, much like collagen, begins to break down with age. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps to inhibit melanin production and helps to prevent sun damage, as well as helps to boost collagen production. So really, it’s a magical ingredient! And LilyAna Naturals is a well-known, all-natural skincare brand that has a great reputation!

M3 Naturals Himalayan Scrub.jpg

Just like exfoliating your facial skin, exfoliating your entire body of skin is incredibly beneficial. It eliminates dead, dry skin and allows for better absorption of your lotion. So why not also use a scrub with fantastic benefits other than exfoliating? This scrub from M3 Naturals is made from Himalayan salt but also infused with collagen and stem cell, two ingredients known to help smooth and firm skin. And right now, if you scroll down to the “Special Offers and Product Promotions” section, you can try several different products from M3 Naturals with some great discounts!

Mineral Me California Bath Bombs.jpg

I first had another set of bath bombs for the same price on my wishlist. However, after looking deeper before purchasing I noticed the description and grammar used throughout the product detail page was less than stellar - a big red flag for me being a writer. I scrolled down to the technical details section and noticed that the ingredients list was vague, including “etc.” at the end…. Ummm… no.

Insert Mineral Me. Made in California, committed to living a natural lifestyle, and with a legit ingredient list! I LOVE a good hot bath with a book, while taking in the scents that fill the bathroom from a good, quality bath bomb. I can’t wait to try these!
